Nutritional Autonomy For All

Member of the network since 2009, EDESIA was established in 2009 as a nonprofit joint initiative between Industrial Revelation and NUTRISET. EDESIA’s mandates are to: produce Plumpy^® line nutritional products / collaborate on nutrition research studies and develop new nutritional products / support local producers of Ready-to-Use Food (RUF) products in the developing world.


Operating as a nonprofit in the United States facilitates awareness building and fundraising to support the fight against malnutrition. It allows for closer collaboration with U.S.-based nutrition research institutions and NGOs, as well as active advocacy within the U.S. government to add more nutrient-dense commodities to its food aid. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, the facility is currently under renovation and should be fully operational by the beginning of 2010.
